Air filters

| Some 100 series owners may not be aware that Toyota specifies 2 different filter elements for the cyclonic style (round) air filter housing.
FZJ105 and HZJ105 models use the smaller 200mm diameter element (part no. 17801-67060) whereas the HDJ100 and UZJ100 use the larger 255mm diameter element (part no. 17801-17020). As the larger element is some 25% larger in diameter, let alone the much greater surface area of the extra pleats of filter media for retaining dust, it’s certainly a valid option for those of us running aftermarket turbochargers, which require a greater air mass. |
